How to play Slapjack in one minute

  1. Deal: all cards face down. Nobody looks at their cards.
  2. Play: in turn, everyone turns their top card face up onto the middle pile.
  3. Jack! The first player to slap a jack takes the whole pile and shuffles it into their cards.
  4. Wrong slap: give your top card to the player who played the card you slapped.
  5. No cards? You stay in until the next jack. Win that pile and you are back; if someone else wins it, you are out.
  6. Win: collect all the cards.

How do you play Slapjack?

Everyone turns their top card onto the middle pile in turn. When a jack shows, slap it! The first slapper takes the whole pile. The player with all the cards wins.

What happens if you slap a card that isn’t a jack?

You give your top card to the player who played the card you slapped.

Can I play Slapjack with a time limit?

Yes. Pagat.com suggests a time limit as an option. In Settings choose 3 or 5 minutes; when time is up, the player holding the most cards wins.
